A8451

Compact MWIR HD Science Camera

The A8481 and A8451 bring 1280 × 1024 HD MWIR imaging to the compact A-Series body, with four times the pixels of VGA A-Series cameras. They share their body and mounting points with the A6451, A6481, and A6700 Series, so existing fixtures and cabling carry over. The 8 µm high operating temperature (HOT) strained-layer superlattice (SLS) detector is cooled by a long-life linear cooler rated in the 27,000-hour class. The A8481 adds a motorized lens interface and a motorized 3-position filter wheel, and both cameras support a range of FLIR Precision Optics lenses. Gigabit Ethernet or CoaXPress connectivity provides complete camera control and fully radiometric capture in FLIR Research Studio Professional.

• Maximize measurement pixels with manual, microscope, and macro FLIR Precision Optics lenses, plus motor-focus lenses on the A8481
• Extend the measurable temperature range with the motorized 3-position filter wheel on the A8481
• Lock capture to your test with precision triggering and sync I/O
• Analyze and record 1280 × 1024 (1.3 MP) HD thermal imagery, fully radiometric
• Detect small thermal differences with 35 mK NETD (typical)
• Inspect small components up close with optional 1× and 3× microscope lenses
• Stream fully radiometric data at 45 Hz over Gigabit Ethernet or 60 Hz over CoaXPress
• Acquire and analyze in Research Studio's Connect → View → Record → Analyze workflow
• Work in the operating system and language your team prefers
